A humbling visual representation of our trip, hurdling through space on a rock.

During the winter months, the Milky Way core is not visible to us here in the Northern Hemisphere. In that “down time” I went out and learned about star trail photography. Since then, I’ve made it a point to schedule some time to shoot the 200+ images that make up this photo in all of my Milky Way trips.

I love seeing the colors blend together in a mesmerizing paint-swirl, plotting our rotation in the galaxy.
