Nature is my refuge

I wanted a break from the 9-to-5 grind. From the pull of social media and the notification chirps of Outlook. I wanted a reset at a slower pace. From that very same 9-5 job, I learned to take full control of a digital camera, and I decided it would be my escape. My journey started with no clear path. Instead, I took my camera everywhere and photographed people, buildings, busy streets, and landscapes.

I quickly fell in love with and settled into nightscapes and macro photography. They gave me exactly what I was searching for - a way to slow down, feel the calm, and just be present in the outside world. The calm I feel sitting under a dark, star-filled sky is unlike anything I’ve experienced. And, the excitement I feel when I stumble across a jumping spider in a sea of trees is worthy of chasing.

With my work, I hope to give you, the viewer, that same sense of calm and awe. I want my art to showcase the beautiful details of Earth that are often overlooked. I want to give cause and reason for us to realize the importance of protecting our natural beauty. Whether on the screen or mounted and framed in your home, I hope you find a sense of wonder in my photography.
