Bring a piece of Nevada’s mining history into your home.
What started as a Milky Way photo quickly turned into so much more.
This was the first time I had been to Rhyolite, NV, and I was absolutely in love with the ruins of this long-forgotten mining town. The building in the lower right of the frame was going to be my subject for my nightscape photo. As such, I was spending time during sunset figuring out my composition. Until I looked down the road.
I saw this perfect crescent Moon sitting in this beautiful gradient sky. Quickly, as the light on the horizon was fading, I swung my tripod around and captured this one-of-a-kind image.
Printed at a local print shop on Metallic Luster paper boasting rich and vibrant colors, and an archival life exceeding 120 years. I’ve selected a base size of 20×24 inches to keep mounting and framing easy, while still being large enough to display all of the rich colors and details. If you would like a custom size, please send me a message using the form on my contact page.
