Every now and again, a photographer takes a photo that seems too good to be true. For me, this is that photo.
It was a muggy day in August. The air was heavy and still. I was walking through a marsh in search of reeds tall enough to cast some shade when I noticed the most vibrant, beautiful shade of blue set against the tans and greens of the growing grass.
With some careful, slow, and deliberate movement - and a little bit of pleading - I got close enough to take this photo. It turns out this guy was just as curious about me as I was about him. After taking the photo, he followed me along on our search for more shade.
