Lunch Time
The circle of life observed at a macro level. This little jumping spider was about the size of a nickle. The fly, even smaller. The search, magnificent.
A bright Spring day was interrupted by a flash thunderstorm. I sat in the car on location, wondering if I should head back home - without any photos. I decided to wait out the storm, and headed out to see what I could find. And what I found was this little jumping spider having a post-rain snack.
This marked my first encounter with a jumping spider in the wild. At least, at this close of distance. I still remember him turning on his rose petal to follow my movements, and, seemingly pose for my camera.
