The Origin Story

This is the image that introduced me to nightscape photography. This is the image that opened my eyes and my heart to the night sky. This is the image that means the most to me.

Early Summer, 2024, I decided to pick up a camera and be serious about it. I didn’t limit myself, but instead practiced street, landscape, portrait and maternity sessions, macro, and then decided to try wide-angle astrophotography. I studied, I watched, I read, and I asked for guidance from an esteemed nightscape photographer.

This was my first outing, my first attempt at capturing the Milky Way. I expected to walk away with a practice photo. Instead, I have an image that opened an entire new world, a newfound sense of respect and absolute awe, and a new love.
